Our mission

Ware Episcopal Church dates back to the early 1650's and has been in its present location since 1718 where it was constructed by local craftsmen and artisans from England. There has been a strong tradition of music at Ware over the years and in my position as Director of Music, I believed and felt that a concert series bringing world class artists and music to the community and beyond was necessary. Being in an idyllic, rural location should not be prohibitive and with this in mind the concert series "Ware is the Music" is a programme that allows people to have music on their doorstep.

With over 30 years in the professional field my wealth of knowledge, colleagues and friends allows me to bring artists of both International and home grown status down to Ware.

We hope that you will embrace this venture not only this year but over the years to come and enjoy the music that is on offer. Running over a 6 month period "Ware is the Music" offers 5 concerts evenly spaced out over the time period offering a mixed and diverse "smorgasbord" of entertainment. Take a look at the site and see what we have to offer for the 2019/20 season. I look forward to welcoming you at one or all of the concerts for this inaugural season.

With thanks

Charles Humphries - Artistic director
