Self-Guided Tours

“Do not be amazed; you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen, he is not here; see the place where they laid him. But go tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him as he told you.” -Mark 16:6-7

The Ware Episcopal Church Cemetery is open to the public for respectful visits from 8am to dusk.  All are welcome to stroll the grounds to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this consecrated ground.  To enhance your visit, there are self-guided tours available.

  • Botanical Tour - signs identify notable trees of the Ware Church grounds.  A brochure with map is available in the parish office.  Start your tour on the west side of the cemetery road soon after its first turn.  Most signs are visible from your vehicle.
  • Confederate Veterans - visit the graves or memorial markers of veterans of the Civil War.  A brochure with map is available in the parish office.  The Cemetery section of this web site provides information about all gravestones.
