Christian Education and Formation

Christian education and formation is essential; it is foundational.  When writing to the Ephesians, Paul declares:  “we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ” (4:15). We grow by being formed.  At Ware Church, formation happens in a variety of ways and through numerous offerings and opportunities.  Formation is accomplished through education, worship, retreat and fellowship.

Ware strives to provide robust programming for children, youth, and adults.  From traditional Sunday School activities for children, to groups for middle school and high school youth ,to forums and retreats for adults, there is something for everyone at Ware.

On Sunday mornings from September – May, one will find our Sunday School Program for Children and Youth.  Beginning in the chapel at 10:15 a.m. for an age appropriate worship service led by the youth of the parish, children then spend time in class learning about the day’s lessons and participating in activities including craft time.  At 11:00 a.m., the children and teachers head to the Church to join their families and friends at the peace and for the Holy Communion.

Additionally on Sundays, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. there are offerings for adult Christian formation and education in the parish hall.  Ranging from bible study to forums featuring guest speakers, this time intentionally seeks to provide adults with options for deepening their faith.
